Why We Need to Sample Caps for Our Customers

At Northwest Custom Apparel, many of our customers have been purchasing standard SanMar caps with front embroidery logos. However, we offer much more through OutdoorCap, including custom embroidery, laser patches, sublimated patches, and faux/actual leather patches.

It's essential to showcase these various decoration techniques to our customers, so they can see the full range of styles we can create. By getting a sample cap in front of our customers, we have a 60% closing rate, which demonstrates how effective it is to show them different decoration methods.

Sampling caps allows customers to experience the quality firsthand and encourages them to elevate their brand with more unique and custom designs.

OutdoorCap Sample Ordering Process

Step 1: Submit Your Sample Request

  • Include the following details:
    • Vector File: Attach the logo or design.
    • Decoration Method: Specify the decoration method – embroidery, laser patch, sublimated patch, or faux/actual leather patch.
    • Logo Position: Indicate where the logo will be placed on the cap.
    • PMS Colors: Provide the PMS color for thread matching.
    • UPS Account: Use UPS account number 903-313 for shipping.

Step 2: Available Decoration Services

OutdoorCap offers a variety of decoration services to create stunning samples for your customers:

  • Embroidery: High-quality stitching for a professional look.
  • Laser Patch: Durable and sleek designs that offer a unique texture.
  • Sublimated Patch: Full-color designs that are vibrant and long-lasting.
  • Faux/Actual Leather Patches: Premium patch options for a rugged, stylish appearance.

Step 3: Separate Orders by POs

  • Each sample order must be placed on a separate PO.
  • OutdoorCap will provide a control number for each order, which you should use for future reference.
